I have been fortunate to have had our hunting group selected for an upcoming Managed Deer Hunt at the Drury - Mincy wildlife conservation area near Branson, Missouri for October 26 & 27. The fall muzzleloader deer hunts were always a special time for me in Missouri and I was disappointed when the primitive weapons hunts were moved to late December and early January. I haven't ever hunted this area but have hunted nearby at the Caney Mountain conservation area. Planning for the hunt is giving me something to do while the heat indexes have been over a hundred degrees the past few days.
