Response to Texan & roundball:make your shot tubes out of cigarette paper, newspaper, or any other thin paper,no more than 1 1/2 wraps around a dowel rod and glue the seam. Twist or glue the ends. Make the completed paper capsule undersized enough that it will fall down the bore from it's own weight- but not too small.Load your powder charge, seat whatever wad(s) you want, drop the loaded shot tube down and tamp it 3 or 4 times with your rod to seat and expand the shot tube. You can seat a card wad over the shot if you want, but I have found this to be mostly unecessary. The expanded shot tube stays in place in my experience and apparently ruptures during acceleration down the barrel. Caution!!! Shoot a bunch of these loads on a pattern plate or board to be sure you have no "slug loads". If you are going to carry the loaded gun around a while, check with your ramrod periodically to be sure the shot capsule has not shifted or leaked shot. Too many wraps of paper or too heavy paper will not release the shot and will cause "slug loads".
