I'd run a long brass screw or pin from the tang inlet down and the trigger inlet up. Use epoxy. You may have to refinish the area of the break but that's all. It can be saved.
 
No, you want the hole in the entry part as big as the threads and smaller below the break so the screw tightens up the crack. I'd epoxy the crack and then put the screws in to pull it tight. You may have to devise a clamp to hold it while drilling and screwing. Brownells used to sell these long brass screws for this purpose.
