You are right about the meat injectors.
Although mine worked great at injecting just
a thick liquid...There are some that inject whole
garlic cloves and such.
 
I have used a rub on pork I was Q-ing. a 'cajun spice' which is good but I like to cook some 'bark' onto the meat by placeing it over the heat until some of the dripping juice smokes and colors the outside this really gives a good flavor. unfortunately the MD's say that this 'bark' is loaded with carcinogens. :(
 
Blizzard, Heck!, this day and age EVERYTHING WILL KILL YOU! I love the way people complain about someone lighting-up a smoke, but think nothing about sitting around a smokey bar-be-que grill in the back yard! :shocked2: ....Sorry, getting off the subject!
 
this Memorial Day I might burn some cornish hen on my grill, or may go over to the VFW or Legion Hall if they are 'Qing. which is likely, lots of Iraq and Afghan vets around these days.
