Here are pictures of the sanding sticks & rifflers. The sticks have tensioning springs at the back for those bands of sandpaper that are pictured. Also shown are the 2 larger U-shaped

Pfeil gouges (I thing they are a #5 and a # 9) that get some use from time to time. Not a lot though. The bulk of the work is done with the smallest V shaped and U shaped veiners

Thanks! Huge help! I'll be ordering a few new tools based on everyone's suggestions and will be practicing on making smooth lines.

I ordered the files and used them. The files helped me smooth out some of the lines. I was pretty happy with the result and wanted to stop before I messed up. I know there are mistakes, but I'm proud of the way it turned out. Here are some pics of the results.

Looking good to my eyes! Another tool that I use frequently for smoothing is emery boards that I steal from the wife's half off the medicine cabinet. They can be had anywhere from 80 grit up to 400 or finer and are nice because they have a little bit of flexibility and sort of conform to the radius that you are working on.

Geez! With the size of that mushroom cloud are you sure it was black powder in the pan and not fissionable material left over from the Manhatten Project?

LOL! Yeah, I may have gotten a little heavy with the grains
