looks great! Your going to like that smoothbore. What part of Texas you from?

Where you pick that one up? NSW?

North of Beaumont here, would love to get together and shoot that thing. Looking to pick one up soon.

Doc

I got it from a guy around houston. It was made by a gun Smith from TOW. The guy shot it three times to test function and then hung it on the wall. He sold it because he needed a smaller bore due to health reasons. We will have to chase some pigs some time.

I love it! You need to take it into the Davy Crockett National Forest -love that pine forest

Finally got to shoot it today. It shoots shot very well with cut paper wads. Felt wads kept turning due to the rod end too narrow. I was having to put a jag on to use them. It shoots a ball pretty well but I hit low left due to poor follow through on my part. First time shooting a flint lock. Over all I am really pleased and can see this gun being an all season one. Just need to do some load development.

Foresee a long relationship with that smoothe.... :v
Since you're new to a flintlocks..build a wood flint and dry fire as often as you can..This has helped me get "in the zone".
Don't be afraid to polish up the lock internals, tigger.
In no time you'll be grouping to satisfaction.

I tip my hat to you for taking the flint smoothbore challenge .
