I have a rifle with a Chet Sholtz flintlock on it. Does anyone familiar with this lock know what size flint works best in this lock? I need to order some and don't want the wrong size. Thanks.

Alby. While I'm not familiar with the specific lock, get the measurement across the frizzen. Then, with the lock at half ****, take a measurement from the jaw screw inside the jaws to close to the frizzen face with the frizzen closed. That should give you a rough estimate of the length.

I think Rich posted a second before me, so you can use my method to verify his specs.

Thanks rich and spike buck, I haven't fired this rifle in 20 years and should have known but am getting old and forgetful. I will order some soon.
