Where you guys getting your flints at now. The last bunch I got was from rich Pearce about 3 years ago. Is he still doing that or quit, think I read that he had quit?

There are a number of places advertising flint for sale in both Muzzle Blasts and Muzzleloading magazines. My personal preference for flints are English flints. The French flints are excellent, too, but cost more. :hatsoff:

Rich is still making flints. I've read a couple of reports on here that he's quit, but according to him in replies to those comments, he's still much alive and making flints. He's just very busy.

glad to hear that he's still making flints ... I got a bunch some time ago, and although they don't look as "cool" as French amber flints, they spark like mad.

I've never had a misfire using one of is flints.

I know what you mean. I bought a dozen off of him when I first got my Flinter and once I got them I put one in the gun and tested it. Sparks like mad. He's an artist and his flints work as well, if not better, than the English Black flints I bought.

His prices are much more affordable too. Besides, he's a neighbor. His state is just south of mine. :haha:
