Flintlocked Ram!

Just got back last evening after a great hunt with my flintlock. I got this Corsican ram on the run at 120 paces with my Pedersoli .50 Cal kentucky flintlock! It was too freakin cool. Used a .490 Hornady round ball, a .020 wonderlube patch, and 90 grains of FFg goex. Man, I do love this rifle!

Nice one Micanopy! I have a Ped 45 cal Frontier flinter that I like as well! Sure would like ta try that hunt on for size sometime! :hatsoff:

Well bein a relative new comer to Flinters ... I wish to heck I could shoot that well with my flinter ... dangit ... I hate to admit it .. but think I need a whole lot more practicin afore I am let loose on any breathin animals! :cursing:

I respect em too much to put my feeble abilities to that test just yet! :hmm:

Well sir, way I figure it is this, Get ta shootin!!! LOL! Make friends with that there shootin iron and we'll go shoot critters and have some fun, maybe take a horn or two round the fire. It's a blast my friend!

Fair enuff I reckon! :grin: So far them critters is safe with me in tha woods with ah flinter!:cursing: Now on the other hand ... other hunters, cows in sich bitter watch out! :shocked2:
