I don't recall if the rule of thumb on nipple thread engagement is 3 and 1/2 threads. A know it all at our rendezvous put on a cap fragment shield on his drum and the nipple came flying out, just missing his head. He was in charge of the semi rendezvous and future rifles and pistols all had to be flinters. No percussion revolvers in this 1849 Bent's Old Fort re enactment.

You know one of the diagnostic criteria for substance addiction is - more of the substance is required to achieve the same effect (high).
Substance abuse is use of / recovery from the substance when you should be doing something else.
You'll have to diagnose yourself.

wife asked me that very thing just today! then she slapped me up side the head because of the long drawn out blank look on my face!
i was counting in my head for crying out loud!
she thought i was in a seizure of some sort.
