another shot of breakfast skillet from a few feet away, check the fire pit out. been tons of food cooked here, as many as 6 HoBo roasts at once

and a shot of a DO venison haunch roast simmering, I forgot the bacon I usually lay 2-3 strips atop the deer roast to 'grease it up' a bit. it came out good tho. cornbread wrapped in foil other side of my foot and Lucks Pintos in pot on the end of the grate, this fed 6 men not a scrap or drop of gravy leftover and nary a bean or crumb of cornbread. I seldom go to this much trouble to cook, mostly I cut the venison into chunks and put into HoBo roasts with sausage and 1/2 strip of bacon along with the veggies and seasoning. paprika and chili powder and garlic are good in them. along of course with salt and black pepper.

All this sure reminds me of my momma's cooking a big pot of beans with a good sized chunk of pork in it and cornbread and sometimes some fried green tomatoes, no, not the movie, with onions and garlic...........Mmmmmmmm

"unfortunately kids set the bottom of the mountain on fire) and I cooked them in bacon grease in large skillet"

I believe kids need to be punished sometimes, but that's kinda harsh :shocked2: :rotf:
