Oh, I don’t EAT mayonnaise! Like ketchup, I use it as an ingredient. My late mother’s macaroni and potato salads have to have it in the dressing or it doesn’t taste right. I buy the smallest bottle when I’m planning to make one. Otherwise, we don’t have it in the house.
On a gardening note, we had what should be our last frost last night. Maybe another one coming up on Thursday, but then I should be clear. My peas are coming along nicely. At work, we’re doing an Agriculture themed day on the 6th of April so I started some corn and some herbs, and they’ll be ready to transplant by then. In a museum it’s always a compromise between doing things the way they did 400 years ago and making sure that we have stuff for the visitors to look at- while a certain amount of agricultural failure is historically accurate, we don’t want people thinking that our ancestors were idiots who didn’t know how to farm.
