2F and 3F seem to both work fine in my .50 Cal flintlock rifle and pistol. I think my pistol actually prefers the 2F. To be clear, I don't hunt and only use light target loads. Bill

I bought a Chambers Kentucky pistol .54 cal today. I’ve got lots of Goex ff powder but one lonely container of Old Eynsford fff. Will this .54 cal, 13” barrel burn the ff efficiently? Thanks for your opinions…E..

If you were shooting in serious pistol matches 2F would not be your best choice...Plinkers, Hunters, costumed posers and dandys won`t miss the small bit of advantage 3F gives you in a pistol...c

I have an unmentionable 15" T/C built in the 90s that shoots 100 grains of 2F and a patched RB with no problems....and has put 2 venison critters in the freezer over the years.
