I will defently secound the rifles of colonial america volume 1, can't comment on Volume 2 as I just orderd it today but if its anything like Volume 1 get it too, I just received my copy of Volume 1 today, to say the least I am enlightend! this is the first actual longrifle picture book I have actually looked through, everthing up to now has just been building the such and such rifle book, or how to do this or that book. And I can hole heartedly say with out a doubt in my mind that this is the book to have, when I first tried releif carving I was disipointed in the resaults because it looked nothing like the carving on the rifles built by some tallented folks I see on the net., granted skill comes from practice but with a few exceptions most of the carving picture in colonial rifles is preaty simple and easey to replicate. The book has made me alot more excited about rifle building (if thats possible).
