I just finished this one up!

A little history. I bought this a couple months ago. It was brand new, never fired and built from a kit. The previous owner did a great job on it, but the finish was nothing more than some stain and linseed oil. He did an excellent job, super clean actually, job, building the rifle. I stripped the stock completely, along with the metal and refinished it to my liking. I used a leather stain thats called Chocolate brown, and once it got to the color I liked, I gently buffed down the wood with 0000 steel wool. The wood itself, I finished with 600 grit and wet sanded it over a half a dozen times. The wood, pattern, grain, flows through the finish nicely! I used 15 hand rubbed coats of Birchwood Casey Genuine Oil. All browning was done with Laurel Mountain Forge solution. I did change out the factory front sight ( Don't worry! The original comes with the gun, along with the original silver cleaning jag )

The bore is pristine! While at rendezvous, I let a young friend of mine put 30 shots down range with it. He did very well and learned how to load a muzzleloader and enjoyed his first shooting rendezvous!

This is an extremely fine muzzleloader! I put a lot of time and effort into it as you can see.

A Superb CVA Mountain Rifle like this is hard to come by.

I installed a new #11 Spitfire Nipple as well as they have been excellent in all of my other hunting rifles.
