I have checked it out and all appears in tack but a pen mark on the stock, strange.
Staples? All 4 of my boxes from Jim had top fastened by small Phillips screws 20+ of them, interesting. Glad everything was in there and ok

It’s all well and good to rant about the po, but you just don’t know until you’ve been in there. And, being a carrier is a horrible job. Out in all weather, having to go back out when others call out. It’s not like a 9-to-5 job. It’s a serious solid job. And, they also try to do a lot of the sorting with machines. And this kind of box doesn’t fit in the standard container so sometimes they get laid on top. Like I said, you have to have been there to seen it it’s not what you think. It’s not little old guys carefully packing things in the truck. It’s an industrial area and have forklifts everywhere now not like the old days where we had containers.

I had a Rifle years ago I sent in for repair and the carrier was UPS and when it came back the box had been literally ripped open the rifle man handled and I was friends with the driver new him for years and he said the warehouse caught the men on camera that worked in the UPS warehouse doing this.and yes they were fired but my property was all bitched up. Still have that firearm to this day And I never got retribution at all.

At this point i am totally amazed/shocked Kibler would ever think of shipping them via USPS??? I will never use USPS again for anything of value or over approx 21" long. Given basic shipping costs, Dimension and weight surcharges, High insurance cost, amateur/careless handling service, poor tracking and very questionable insurance payouts - i am done. USPS has trouble safely delivering small flat rate boxs much less a crate. My Fedex account has been closed long ago never to reopen. Only UPS is left, They are marginal but acceptable as they pay claims fast. Maybe a few dozen claims may change kiblers choice of carrier and spare his customers grief and worry.

This caught my eye because it involves the USPS Regional Office in San Antonio, TX. I recently shipped a Centermark Fusil de Chasse via USPS Priority Insured to Johnstown, NY. USPS tracking indicates it left San Antonio but there have been no further scans since then. I filed an insurance claim but no action on that yet. You might want to use a different shipper if your package will go through South Texas.

Somebody sure wanted to know what was in there! If it was a modern arm, you never would have seen it again. I'd like to MAYBE ship a musket off for de-farb, but am leery even thought I can have it crated. In fact I will ask the de-farb company for any "tips" about shipping.

Insurance solves any shipping concerns.

Allows for better sleep too.

My woodsrunner is in route, so this has my attention. Is the box marked in any way to indicate there could be a firearm inside? Wonder if some "gooberment" inspector opened it to try to catch someone shipping something they shouldn't? Receiving my shipment like that would pi** me off into another zip code.
Sure hope you get answers and an apology, at the very least.
When my colonial came in the box has a large fragile sticker on the top
And Kibler NO mention of any type of firearm,I believe Jim has done this to deter this type of injustice and package ****..
Mine was only 3 hour ship.and it was quick.NO damage
That was two weeks ago

The Kibler boxes I have seen have one side glued and stapled, and the other screwed on. I would think that the screwed side should be the side to be opened. The glued side(bottom?) has the two piece cover with the joint secured by the divider in the box.

To those yet to receive their kit, the Woodsrunner takes modern parts machining to the next level entirely. The metal and wood melt together in perfect harmony like they were born that way. Absolutely amazing work, Jim and crew who program the CNC code! You could have this kit together and ready to make smoke in a weekend and that's if you take your time! As long as the shipping gorillas don't mangle your kit, you're gonna be mighty happy.

Glad there appears not to be any significant damage.
It is sad that some employees just don't give a ----.
When there is damage in shipping as has been stated above document the evidence with many photos then keep an exact list of who you have contacted at the carrier with first and last names. If it is shipped to you contact the person who shipped it to you and offer to send photos, details.
30+ years ago I purchased a Damascus hammer double rifle. After the 3 day inspection I shipped it back in the same manner as I received it.
The seller contacted me several days later to tell me the stock had been broken in half.
I had shipped it 3 day air and insured for full value.
I then contacted UPS who connected me with the person who handles insurance claims. 1st thing she said was we are not going pay for the damage.
After taking a very deep breath I said "do you realize it was paid and sent to be delivered in 3 days and your company took 5 days to it?
Had it been delivered when promised it would not have been damaged?" Her next statement was "send me a repair estimate" which I did and UPS insurance did pay.
Photos, photos, photos.
I was lucky that time.

My Woodsrunner arrived today with no issues. Arrived a day earlier than tracking predicted so all is well. My Colonial kit last year had some impact damage to the crate but nothing inside had any problems.

Shipping anything these days is a manure shoot.

Especially if the box looks like it might have a gun in it.
Long, rectangular, mysterious box made with extra-sturdy materials like the contents have a high dollar value?
Probability is about 70% that there is a gun inside.
Social Justice Warrior bait.

Kind of makes a guy clean out the litter box and fill one of these long shipping boxes with it.....along with a sarcastic note.
Your idea for a "filler" was far kinder and quieter than what I was thinking.
