Hello, I have a inquiry about Graf black powder. Most of my experience using black powder has been with Goex but what I've found with Goex and with all things being equal is that I get a different POI when I change lot numbers of that brand. Sometimes the change is significant which is frustrating when your sights are fixed. I shoot flintlock rifles. I have been told that Swiss powder will eliminate this problem. However, due to it's higher cost I was also curious about the Graf brand. Does anyone have an idea how consistent the Graf powder is from lot to lot? Thanks.

I'll let ya know after I use this order up in ohh a couple years or so and order another lot to try. :haha:
OK, that settles it. :haha:

I've shot a couple lbs of it, can't tell any diff with GoEx. ignites easy - I shoot 3F in my .50 capper so can't say how it would light off in a pan.

David,
I hope you don't think this is powder
that Graf&Sons make in their basement. Search
G&S and you will see it is produced by a
reputable German powder Co. Not GOEX but I have found it to be acceptable, and would not hesitate to use it.Having said that I prefer GOEX...just
because.
