So do any or all GM barrels have patent breach?

A barrel is a barrel, it can be fitted with a standard flat faced breech plug or a patent breech plug depending on the application.

Most if not all T/C's use a patent style hooked breech.

It would be difficult if not impossible to install a regular breech plug on a T/C, The gun is built around the patent hooked breech design.

Do they come with "factory" breach plugs?

That I do not know, or whether they are interchangeable. a lot depends on caliber, barrel diameter and thread size.

The GM drop ins don't have "factory" (as in TC breech plugs). The TC breach plugs have a different thread than the plugs used by GM. You can purchase a patent type plug from TOW that will fit the GM barrel and the TC tang. You can build a drop in for a tc pretty easily.

I want to replace my CVA Hawken rifle barrel. Can I reuse the breech plug from this rifle?

Nope.
CVA breech plugs and drums interlock. In fact CVA manuals tell the owner NOT to try to remove the breech plug, as 99.5% of the time that ruins the barrel and the plug. It's an odd quirk of CVA sidelock barrels.

However. You might consider sending the barrel to Bob Hoyt, and have it reamed out to be a smoothbore. A lot of the guys on this forum have done this, and find that the gun even though it now has a smoothbore barrel, has enough accuracy for round ball and deer out to 50 yards, PLUS shot can be used for forest game like squirrel and rabbit. Depending on the thickness, you might even have enough for a re-rifle of the barrel interior, but you'll need to talk to Mr. Hoyt about that

I have removed the breech plug from new CVA barrels . You have to loosen the breech plug a very slight amount to get the drum out then you can remove the breach plug. Similar with the touchhole liner in a flinter
