A few hours before my traumatic gun powder spill I made a trade at the gun show.

i picked up a pedersoli .58 cal "Harper's ferry" flint lock.

I made a trade for another gun that I never shot. It's very pretty and i wish I could have shot it today but i had to do some emergency clean up. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a rear sight. I have no idea how to aim the thing.

I use the rear tang screw as a point of reference and have had very good results. Your other option is to put on a rear sight which is period correct.
