A date like that cerainly gets my juices flowing, do I see deep, round bottomed rifling? :grin:

The Germans had a long standing love affair with the wheel lock, so 1661 would have to be a cheek stocked wheely.

OTOH, the wooden trigger bow screams Germany/Austria BUT where are the sling swivels? :shocked2:
 
Tonite I got pics Ya! Dang nice real nice rifle, "Q" is trigger made of same stuff trigger guard is ? the color is same on my screen. Looks to be "a very proper job gong to perc from flint maybe keeping the flint parts, barrel to also use. Just a WAG! :hmm: Fred :hatsoff: thanks for showing this one real nice.

To be honest I'm really starting to like the European styling. After looking at American plains rifles and long rifles and everything in between, its nice to know there really is something differant under the Sun.
