Hi all, I just joined the forum and thought I would share some pictures of a few projects I have completed. Its nice to know there are still a few of us who appreciate the old days. This is a possibles bag and accessories I recently finished. the knife blade is made from an old file. The knife handle and ball starter are antler from deer I have killed. Found the powder horn at a garage sale for 5 bucks, and purchased the loading block from an online dealer, but wanted to show them as part of my kit.

Hey , Nice work on the bag. I like the buck track. Kinda looks like eyes and buffalo horns too. Did you also make the horn?

I know this isn't muzzleloader related, but figured a little leeway would be granted here in the "craftsman" section of the forum. This is a quiver that I designed to compliment the curves of my Bear bow. Its made from deer hides that were tanned by my uncle. The knife is an old "western" that was found in my grandads belongings after he passed. The arrow heads I crafted from spoons that were pounded flat, shaped, hardened, sharpened. Still trying to kill a deer with those!

This was one of my first projects that I worked up so I could enjoy a pipe while out looking for shed antlers in the spring time. The Altoid tin keeps my tobacco fresh for several days. The antler tip keeper doubles as a pipe pick and tamper.

This is my primitive fire kit. It started off as a shoulder bag I got for free. I cut the strap off to make belt loops, then added the antler button and thong to hold it shut. Pretty simple, but effective. I make/store my charcloth in an altoid tin, and keep the rest of the kit in the round tin. (wolfcreekforge.com) The knife is my first attempt at a homemade folder. The blade is from an "old hickory" with a broken handle, so I made an antler handle for it.

Good to see that you're not wasting all your spare time chasing a bunch of naughty women. I like your stuff and the verity of it. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I like the file teeth on the side of the knife blade. Never seen that before. Been out lots of times and wished I had a small file.

Very nice indeed!

How does one go about making a knife blade from a file ???
