Depending on how you measure it, mine is 8600 GVW or 40 sq ft.

I pull my truck up to the range, drop the tail gate and slide a sheet of 3/4" plywood about 2/3 out of the bed and put a saw horse under the end of it. A folding chair finishes my benchrest, while the truck bed holds everything else that didn't slide out with the plywood.

Mine's a Black & Decker 22" Workmate plastic tool box. Actually I have two; one for muzzleloading and one for centerfire.

I started carrying a large metal tacklebox full of "stuff" about 40 years or so when I shot with a group of guys that had formed the White River Muzzleloaders, near White Cloud, Michigan. I was in my early 20s at the time and I took a lot of good-natured ribbing from the rest of the fellows. They all carried their stuff in possibles bags.

But as time passed and different guys needed a screwdriver or a drift punch or a nipple wrench or whatever and I had it available the teasing kind of died down. Thirty-six years ago I got married and moved away. At that time, several other guys had changed to the tacklebox/toolbox method also.

By the way, they were the best group of fellows that I ever knew. Still miss them. and I still carry a toolbox shooting. Wonder how many of them do as well?

I have two one too small the other one too large. Looking at the wood box gives me another item for my bucket list when the rains set in. I am going to make two like was mentioned on this thread. One for the little bores and one for the boomers. thanks for all the input and photo's.
