Hey I could give the metric way and make yer brain bleed.I won't,I was a surveyor when the idjits in Ottawa, thot that was a good ideer. So now 30 yr or so later ,we haveta convert back an forth between, still.Stupid is as stupid does.
So let me see 50 yd=150 'x.0.3048.....never mind

I've decided to move the rear sight down on the tang far enough to lower it at leaset .125. I have 3/8" adjustment (up) left in the peep. That will have to wait until after my Tenn hunt. Just don't have the time now. See my "What Next" post.

Hey ,I know ,huntin an gittin ready, surprised yer even here ,I hope ya gotta nother gun to whack em with ,or else aim high ,my friend
Luck on the hunt

Amount the POI is to be changed times the sight radius divided by the range in inches.
Thus, as previously stated several times I think.
8*28.5/1800 gives .126". At 100 you need .063. For a 1" change at 50 you need .0158".
I would tend to lower the front rear sight if at all possible, makes for the ball being closer to the line of sight. But I don't know if thats practical or not.
If you lower the rear lower it MORE than 1/8" then you can adjust up.
If you have a spreadsheet program it is possible to put in the formula, save it then do much easier calcs.

"Front rear sight" geez.....
I need to read these things better or slow down.

How is that different than the rear front sight? My knowledge of the nomenclature of firearms suffers a tad bit as does my knowledge of mathematics. :hmm: :rotf:
