Whenever any of my ml firearms are going to be taken a distance from my tools I always completely degrease, usually with carburetor cleaner. Then I load normally and then swab the bore with a protectant like Barricade or even WD-40.

I use an air compressor to blow out the chambers and barrel. Then load normally, and keep in a flapped holster. I prefer to hunt in the rain, in Oregon it often obliges. It always goes off. When I am done I clean and I treat everything with ballistol.

i run a little
dry patcb in each cly then fire a round of caps and only load real BP put lubed wads on top of balls only add more lube if wads dont took right #10 caps no wax if raining stay home

if I'm just practicing I take extra clys loaded the but one gun. with multiple clys to clean. keeps rest of pistols clean as I left them last time.
