Didn't they make a decal of several guns on a rack just for the rear window? Or am I remembering something that wasn't there? I guess for those who couldn't afford the real thing.

Yeah, I remember them. Probably not a good idea in some states today. Get you a hot stop for sure back east

Surely fear of inanimate objects has a diagnostic code? Is there a doctor or psychologist reading along?

This is rural and the club range is less than 10 miles. So into the back of the Subaru with blanket for padding. Or into the Tundra crew cab same way.
That said, I would not leave the vehicle unlocked if I stopped for a coffee enroute. As a percentage of population we have as many junkies and thieves as you will find in a city.

Get a Suburban, I'm sure I could carry a wall gun with all of the doors and windows closed. All I have to do to go hunting or target shooting is to walk out my back door>

I bought a leather case from Ox Yoke. Good protection and fits nicely into my Tuscon AWD.

I have been wondering about carrying wrapped in a blanket in PVC pipe.. Have to leave the buttstock and maybe more exposed. That and bungee the PVC to something secure. A bit more protection for a short ride than just a blanket.
