I'd have to go with deer with the muzzleloader. But overall, I'd say waterfowl even though I don't hunt them with a muzzleloader but for me they are the most fun to hunt.

Elk if I could but Deer I have.
All smaller game you have to get so many to equal the eatable amount of meat on one Deer.

We are not able to hunt Pig's here in Kansas they made it illegal.

Last time I spoke to a game warden here, he sounded like he'd like to make it illegal to NOT hunt or at least shoot them on sight with all the damage they do here.

Well boys, I am glad that Chance, NY Griz and Medic302 have their priorities (or is it tastes?) straight! :blah:

Makeumsmoke, you can't dodge this question that easy, aint never heard of such a critter. Try again! :slap:

Let's hear from the rest of ya too, Skychief. :stir:

Tough choice between squirrels and deer. But due to the much longer season I get out after squirrels alot more than deer so it would have to be squirrels for me.

I am not judging :stir: . I can't believe guys would be only squirrel hunters. I shoot about 8 a month in my back yard. I just don't see the big thrill shooting tree rats. I got two dogs that are cracker jack squirrel dogs. I mean they are REAL good at helping me shoot the squirrels and retrieving them. One is 1/2 chihuahua 1/2 Dachshund. She is an excellent squirrel dog. My German shorthair is a good squirrel dog but she is a way better bird dog. She won't catch a live squirrel and crush it to kill it.
To the guys that would only shoot elk the rest of their lives. A couple of problems with that. First they can be very hard to get to for old guys and they are also very hard to back pack for old guys. :stir: :stir: :stir:

Hunting elk in the MLing season which normally includes the rut, would be it. The mountains are a treat in themselves, elk can be called in, constantly on the move {never was a good sitter} and the meat is excellent. A close second would be ruffed grouse hunting.....Fred

No point me retyping it! We think alike.
