Put your wants on the classified section. You would not believe what us old guys have! 50 years of doing this, some call me a hoarder!

This is very true! It isn't hoarding, its planning for the future.
Since we are all students of history, to some extent, you've seen this coming for the last 4 years. No sympathy.

Anything related to personal safety is getting harder to find. And if you do find it
you will pay a higher price. Even Black powder guns are hard to find in some
types and classes. However, the market will correct at a higher price point due
to demand and inflation. In past years I, regrettably, sold many black powder guns
that I now wish I had kept. I am relatively new to this Forum but an old man in
the Black powder passion. I rarely post , but enjoy the comments and posts of
others. Happy Holidays and all praises to God for what we Americans have.

being a hoarder is not a bad thing, after all what we don't use we can take with us after we pass over.

You should be a bit careful professing your lack of sympathy. There has never and will never exist an endless supply of anything. The reason some have none right now is precisely because others stocked up on more than they really needed, not giving a damn if they left anything on the shelf for the next guy.

I have been adding to my stock a box here, a pound there, a brick of primers, a box of bullets, a pound of scrap lead or what ever I had the funds for for the last 50 years. I have NEVER left an empty shelf. Nor do I wait until my tank is below a quarter of a tank to fill up. This situation has happened all to regularly over the course of our history. Too bad that no one seems to study history anymore.

I disagree.

Just because some folks do not think far ahead enough in their planning, is not my nor others fault.

I hear all the time 'I don't want to pay the HAZMAT fee", but they do not have powder nor can they find it local. Now just whose fault its that?

Shoot a pound, buy 2 pounds. Shoot a pound and buy 2 pounds. Now you have 3 pounds where you started with 1. Same thing with caps, balls, etc.

Who ran out of bathroom paper?

As it would seem , saw all this BS coming during the clinton years and obummer terms in orifice , so , bought powder , etc. for future use. Everything we hold sacred concerning firearm use , is hated by commie libs. Guys , ya gotta pay attention. Little late to panic when the wolf is at the door. Just saying , git whatever ya can git. The commie libs will hide behind excuses saying , but the UN says we have to take one in the shorts for the team , again. Or , we have to be taxed more 'cause all that "smoke" is destroying the ozone layer 'cause looser algore says so. Sorry for the diatribe , but our system of checks and balances is not protecting us like it's was supposed to. looks like in the next couple years it might come down to whatever supplies ya got on hand is what ya got. Again , I implore you ,go get what you can. You can have the freedom to share it w/family and friends , as needed. Again , this message is for those who haven't figured out what's coming. Been through this crap before , but this time , it's serious

Being prepared - a state of mind -
If you don't have enough supplies - your fault, your fault alone. Not my fault for taking care of my family - your fault for not taking care of yours.
Since Clinton, I have "enough" of all I need for a minimum of at least 1 presidential term.
Most things gun related, 2 presidential terms.
My grown and supposedly independent children with their own children came to me for simple things - like toilet paper - because they decided to live week by week before the great awakening. They are now on the right road to taking care of themselves.
Here's a couple of hints -
Don't buy the "doomsday" supplies that are touted to last for 20 years - that's wasted money.
Buy canned goods and dry goods with a very long shelf life - but things you will and do eat everyday - and rotate the stock.
Do the same with your reloading and loading supplies.
Have "enough" hardware to shoot and hunt with - if you only own 1 or 2 guns and it breaks down - (you get the idea)
Preparing is not the same thing a being a doomsday preppie, prepare smart instead.

Everything is made in china, go figure. Never made sense to me why this country would even give them the time of day. As to being prepared buy everything you can afford or get your hands on in the shooting category BP or un-mentionable, even if you do not need it someone will and then you can barter and trade. Its going to get very difficult the next four years. We are just seeing the beginning.

The EPA didn't help manufacturing in this country. Then compare the cost of labor. I could go on but what is the use. Most people look at price first never thinking it might cost them there job too

Same here. I'll be posting more for sale items soon to help get rid of my 50 year accumulation of 'stuff'. Surprisingly, I sell almost as much stuff responding to posts where someone says "I want". I'll PM them and often make a deal.
