I would love to see it. Unfortunately I'm not good at figuring out how to post pics, and need my other half's help.

Elmer Keith Said in his book "Sixguns" that the round, soft lead ball has more killing effect than paper balistics would indicate.

I think really small balls have little use in hand guns because of the nature of the beast being primarily for self defense were as in a rifle I have heard of them down to .24 caliber working excellently on squirrel, rabbits and vermin to 25-50 yards max which is about all the distance such a small sphere could be of much use.
Muzzle blast magazine had a good article on small muzzle loading rifles last month.
I had previously heard of .30 caliber PRB shooters and had shot a .31 caliber a bit but never heard of any .24 and .25s before the Muzzle Blasts article. Mike D.

I haven't read his book, but from what I gather he was speaking of .36 and .44 cal pistol RB's.

But I have seen a before and after pic of a .31 cal RB shot through a dry phone book that went 700 and something pages and ended up about .400 caliber. Not bad!

Thought of a good use for a .31 revolver or pistol. Dispatching chickens for dinner. Thanks Cynthialee!

When young and less thoughtful I shot a .31 revolver at the end of a piece of firewood at about 10 ft. The ball bounced off and hit me in the left arm. Left a bloody bruise that I well remember today. Be careful what you shoot at, and how far away it is.

Yeah well, I once shot a 357 mag at a cement block holding a car up and it came back and hit me in the leg. It's not all about power. :idunno:
