This time on a old two piece CVA kit gun. This one was easier than the TC replacement I did last. The kit was only basically assembled. This made aligning the touch hole etc easier. The factory inletting was terrible as allways. The RPL lock plate fit the mortise better than the factory lock plate. I inletted the barrel breech end about 1/16 inch deeper to get the touch hole in the proper location, along with inletting it rearward about the same amount. The two piece stock is now permanently joined. The only reason I took this job was for the trade of the original lock, to use in a Quaker gun with a lucite “barrel” for my use in Hunter Ed, as a educational aid. I seldom mess with this type of work, but this time I had a honorable ulterior motive. BJH
