Like the previous poster, I too just ordered a flint lock(Brown Bess).Order it from Cabelas about an hour ago an then started looking for forums.Probably should have done that the other way around,Anyway I look forward to talking to you guys about them as I'm not very up to speed on those guns.

You got to the right place in a short time!

Welcome. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The early stages might tend to to cause you to accumulate a lot of junk that really isn't needed or desirable.

For the most part flintlock shooting is simple. Don't be fooled by glitzy packaging and miracle products.
