I was on so many sites, I can't remember which one had the picture of 2 flasks side by side and one had a longer nozzle. mine is the same as yours, I think I may have the stopper post (end cap) too far out (flush with the end) and when I push the flask down it hit's the chamber wall. I see yours is recessed.
That "stopper" screws in and out so you can use the "adjustable" charger. Look at the next to the last picture above.

Who's revolver, mine does not have *** anywhere.
That's not your photo in post #153? An early Pietta, serial #877. Since it was in your post I just assumed it was a photo of your revolver. My mistake. :( I translated the *** which the site censored to show F-A-P (remove the hyphens, only way could post it) in my post #158..

Don't be sorry, I should have said what web site I took a screen shot, then maybe I could remember where I saw the 2 flasks side by side. :)

I knew that and I thought the stopper should be flush with the end, I also see you have yours set to throw more powder than mine which is throwing 40gr in the second detent, if I push it straight down.

I had to run into town for a little bit. I see the difference in your flask and mine, while yours has 5 detents, mine only has 3. I had mine set at 2 detents with the stopper set to being flush with the opening. I just set it to 3 detents and backed off the stopper like you have yours and it throws 40gr that way. I doubt I can get 50gr if I set the stopper to being flush.

Now that I think about it I think the picture I saw probably had one set to the 1st detent and the other set to the 5th detent making it look like one had a longer spout. Those in the picture looked brand new and mine is very old, I've had it since 1972 when I bought a Remington 44 cal Army and it was old when I got it. The fellow I bought it from said it belonged to his grandfather who served with the Texas Rangers in the late 1800-early 1900s and I have no reason to doubt that because 40-45gr of powder is plenty in the Walker. Now I have to see if it will consistently drop 40gr when using it with the cylinder in the gun at an angle. I just checked it with the Remington and without the wedge it does have a straight line so no problems there.
EDIT: I just found this and had forgotten to hit post reply. I got back from town around 1400 hrs. also correct Navy to Army.
