That is the gun that got me hooked on black powder. I purchased mine with the mind set that I was going to take my time and build it over a long period of time. Once I got it home, it was so much fun to work on and I really wanted to see how it shot, I built it in just over a week!
It requires a little bit of wood work to get everything fitting just right and a good finished look, but it was not hard at all!
I use 30grains of pyrodex with a .490 PRB .15 prelube patch. It shoots 5" high at 25yrds and right on at 50 yrds. It initially had a very heavy trigger pull, but with the simple adjustment screw on the lock, it is now perfect.
My 13 year old son loves this gun and can hit the bull at 25 yrds 80% of the time. Well worth the $120 I paid for it!
