It was real simple, I used a spring loaded center punch. Eyeballed where I wanted them, punched the starter hole. Then I used a 60° countersink bit and only let it spin in the drill three rounds slowly with light pressure. I’m actually not finished with the muzzle yet, I’m going to turn those circles into starbursts. I’m just waiting on the new graving chisel.

Dirty muzzle, all clean now. I love this piece of wood. Was going to bone black it but I’m thinking less is more. 4 more coats of tried and true to put on.

Yes, it's a beauty alright. I very much like the .36 and reach for it more frequently than even the .32.
