hi all , wondering if some minor wire inlay would be out of place on that piece??? anyone, maybe smartdog have an idea?

These were made to represent typical fowlers made in England and shipped to the Colonies. Rifles during this time period, especially Christian Springs rifles often had wire inlay so no, it was not common.
