No. They're military guns, too many replicas already. Civil War enacting is slow these days, cooling off, and it's simply not the type product he makes; it's a whole 'nother wheelhouse.

Jim now offers some very nice CNC carving for the wood runner. I wonder (hope) if this will be an option on the smoothbore. I know it isn't supposed to be representative of a really fancy "rich man's" fowler but he also mentioned that it certainly isn't a "low end" trade gun. I think some tasteful carving as an option would be awesome.

Sounds like a fowler and a Hawken are good future choices, no telling what will be next but I am sure everyone will like it.

A good M1803 Harpers Ferry would be incredible. Still a flint but would be unique in it being a half stock military piece.

I read somewhere on the Kibler's site that one of the guns they are considering to make in the future is a NW Trade gun. Does anyone close to the source know anything about this?
In his blog, Jim wrote:

The next kit, while not officially in the works yet, should be started in the next year. It will be an earlier, bigger gun that can be carved and can be finished as a Pennsylvania or Virginia rifle. I have started keeping a list of folks who want to be notified when it comes for sale so send me an email if you would like to be added."

I’ve heard rumors of a Fowler which could be many types of guns.

Someone said recent a brown Bess but I don’t see it, too costly to mass produce.

Some time back JK responded to this line of query and had said it would be an English 'export' type fowler. For the colonies as I recall. He'd said it was in process at that time. I can't for the life of me find it again so (?) At any rate, I think it's a capitol idea and keep watching for it. 'No mention of it on his site yet, and I don't blame him for keeping his head down 'till it's ready.

@Comfortably_Numb is correct. Jim announced about 6 months ago that the next kit would be an English Fowler and that it was due by the end of the year. If he changed his mind I haven’t heard about it.

I will likely put a Fowler and a Hawken together for friends but a Kuntz style pistol would be my wish. I might get two and make a fancy box. I think dueling might come back in fashion. It should be mandated for politicians.
