For sale, 50 caliber custom rifle. I would describe the stock architecture as a late Lancaster. The gun has a side-opening Dickert-style patchbox. In discussion with others that have handled the gun, some speculate it may be Chambers components/kit.

This gun is unsigned but builder was very good at inletting, engraving the brass hardware, and carving the maple stock. Barrel is 42-inch, swamped with round bottom rifling, crowned muzzle and has been a great shooter with .490 ball and .018 ticking patches. Rear sight is mounted 12 ½ inches from the breech, which is perfect for those with corrected vision.

Lock is a large siler, vent is properly positioned and the lock time is super-fast. This gun has never failed to fire on the first strike in over 150 rounds through.

The stock has some cast-off and handles intuitively. Length of pull is 13 ¾-inches, weight is 8 ½ pounds on my scale. Overall is 59 inches. There is one small check in the inletting around the bottom of the patchbox. It is very small and not easy to see in most light, but can be found if you look for it. It has a delrin ramrod, and I will include an unfinished hickory rod that I bought to outfit this gun –just never got around to finishing…

Asking $2000 shipped CONUS. Please PM to discuss, get more photos, ask questions, etc.

Thanks for taking a look!

Looks wonderful. Any idea on the barrel manufacturer?

The gun came to me about 18 months ago in unfired condition. Looked like a recently completed build. From length, outside dimensions, round bottom rifling and a 1 in 60-ish twist, believe it to be a colerain barrel. Most of the amateur builders yesterday at the Gunmaker's Fair tended to agree.
