I wonder why Lee does not make a double cavity .570 mold? I have been sighting in a 58 cal. rifle it shoots .562 balls with a linen patch pretty good. I shot some .570s today with a thin muslin patch today it shoots great! Both were shot with 80 gr of 3f.

Could be its too large for their double cavity format. I know that is the case with some other larger projectiles. Not sure what the "breakpoint" is.

Lee currently lists round ball molds in .535", .562" and .575". I have 2 Lee double cavity molds that cast fairly heavy bullets and my experience is that it is very difficult to maintain them at a constant temperature. There isn't enough material in the new style blocks to deal with the heat.

I’m pretty sure they make a .575.
You are correct they do not catalogue a .570 right now, .600 seemingly the breakpoint between doubles and singles.

Their custom service I do believe would make one for you:

Usually, their custom stuff is not that expensive, and they are a lot quicker with it than others are.

Lyman does catalogue one for $115:

I saw the Lyman kind of pricey and I am kind of lazy like the double cavity. Thanks for the tip I will try the custom service.

I believe you are right there may not be enough real estate for two.

OP is looking for a double .570” diameter round balls. As I previously posted, Lee does make double .600” diameter roundball molds. Real estate for two .570” roundballs is not a problem.
