I've just gotten this and am in the process of learning about it and exploring sources for spare parts. I've written to Flintlocks ETC and sent for a Pedersoli catalogue

Does anybody know how to disassemble the single set trigger for parts replacement or maintenance?

It seems to like 20 grains/fffg, pyrodex p or 15 grains hodgdons 777 for mid- 800fps range

Tried putting my second finger on the trigger guard hook and it got me into Smith K-22 territory. Load is 15 gr/vol Hogdon's 777 .433 ball

R. Beuchamp/Flintlocks ETC is the US service center and spare parts and accessories depot for the pedersoli line. They just came through with a selection of parts and acessories. Two day express delivery

Good looking pistol, I bet it's fun. Looks like you found your answer too.

Ive been kicking around the idea of a Lyman Great Plains Pistol. I havent shot a muzzle loading pistol but they look fun to me.

I have both. My Plains Pistol is a .50 bore. Its a bit shorter than the Lepage but hangs on target very steadily. I have the notion that it's practical and absolute accuracy is equal or almost equal to the Lepage. It doesn't have a set trigger but it hangs on target so well that the 4.5 lb trigger works just fine.

The lyman has the benefit of coil lockwork springs and cost about half as much as this one. Nevertheless, it is well made with pretty walnut and good fit and finish.
