By gum, you are right! The year of my manual escaped me, that is the Pedersoli vintage and my manual says so right on the cover. I had been conflating the two makers, confusing myself!

olskool is originally posting a GPR in .54 for sale here in the classified’s section of this forum. Question was raised about the twist rate of this specific rifle. He answered satisfactorily to the best of his knowledge.

His sales add has been turned into a well meaning discussion about GPR/GPH twist rate discussion which I’ve been a participant in. For that I truly apologize to him who is only trying to sell his rifle. We all mean well and meant to add accurate information to this specific rifle.

With this being said I feel that any further discussion concerning twist rates should be moved to the General Muzzleloading section of this forum as a topic.

Let this gracious gentleman sell his rifle which I believe is at a more than fair price. If I was in the market for another GPR, I’d probably be more than interested. Personally own two in .50 and .54 as it is.

Good luck with your sell sir.

Respectfully, Cowboy

LOL, thanks cowboy. i have no problem, I think it is safe to say it probably most definitely may could absolutely well be close to 1-60 twist! LOL, anyway all the discussion has kept the gun posted up top. if I don't sell it in a couple of days, I will remove it for sale and strip it down and make a very correct looking Hawkin out of it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
