Aaaah, thanks my friend.I like this guy. he doesnt make like he shoots one inch groups at 800 yds. very realistic videoes and he is a funny bas-tard
Aaaah, thanks my friend.
I can't even see a target 800 yards away unless it is a barn door..
Couldn't hit a barn door either....LOL
Here's proof of a target a lot closer:
Really nice, what did it set you back?I picked up this one up new from someone who bought it an never shot it. And at a great price!! The factory finish was thin and spotty. I refinished it, polished some of the steel parts and rebuked the trigger guard, butt and toe plates to a nice color. Super rifle!!!!
Well, here you go: .490 PRB and 75gr Schuetzen 3F (I think .18 pillow ticking with a .10 lubed overpowder patch). I used my Lyman .50 percussion GPR (in your honor, BPMS ). This was only from around 30 to 40 feet probably, but I had not shot the rifle ever yet. It was pretty spectacular- the face of the button went flying up in the air and behind the rest of it. The metal part stayed pinned to the backstop. I am going to put it back together and wear it proudly on my powder horn strap, again. You would have an easier time hitting it than I can.
That's a Purdy small target!
Thanks for wearing it my friend....
I have one and it is lighter weight and balanced well.I wouldn't mind a chance at the 54.
That's one TOUGH button my friend!!Well, here you go: .490 PRB and 75gr Schuetzen 3F (I think .18 pillow ticking with a .10 lubed overpowder patch). I would guess that at least 25% of all traditional muzzleloading rifles in use today are the Lyman GPR’s.over all the rifles I have seen listed for sale on this great forum, rarely do I see a Lyman or Pedersoli great plains for sale. I guess that says once someone buys one they like to keep hold of it.
we are ALL Black Powder Maniac Shooters! That's one TOUGH button my friend!!
I LOVE it.
Thanks for proudly wearing it.
That should strike up some unusual conversations...LOL
Just be sure to post pics as you go and of the finished product please.Well Im cheating but had to do it. I took one of my lyman great plains and pulled the stock off. Im restocking it with a nice piece of wood, "black walnut". If I can do this I think I could do a Hawken rifle kit from pecatonica.
I've got several and really like them.I would guess that at least 25% of all traditional muzzleloading rifles in use today are the Lyman GPR’s.
used ones are not hard to come by.
Having several rifles that are all the same makes one a hoarder not a collectorI've got several and really like them.
I picked up the hoarder disease. Just like a virus, I got it and didn't see it coming.Having several rifles that are all the same makes one a hoarder not a collector
yes I will. Im about half done.Just be sure to post pics as you go and of the finished product please.
edw. I really like your maple stocked Bp. Im wanting to order one but I'm afraid they may send me one that is only half figured. Yours is great. My GPR .54 (bought in 1988) & my Pedersoli maple Hawken .54
