Lyman Plains Pistol, first build.

This is the first build I have done. Figured I would do a pistol first. I browned all the metal, filed bands in the ramrod thimble, and inletted a moon. Finish is Fieblings dark brown leather dye and oil finish.

Thank you. It was a precut brass piece, I engraved the features and used a brass tack for the eye.

I like the idea of making the eye 3D with the tack. I want to inlay a silver hunter’s star in my stock but I’m afraid I’d ruin it.
