Tough at the " get go " ...just tiny slivers on the sides , look at barrel for slivers too ...here it finally startin to hit bottom too ....easier to see . Work from breech section forward ...keep re marking your lines on both sides as it goes down . Keep tappi g muzzle back toward breech ,...you can take off black at breech face but only from half way to bottom ....and just keep goin

Next : I'll be inletting the breech plug , then slab off wood under the barrel for the ramrd groove , carve out the groove then drill the ramrod hole down through the forearm ... then make three barrel lugs , lay them.out and solder them onto the barrel....then inlet the barrel lugs into the barrel channel and drill for the barrel lug pins . Then start inletting the lock .... Can't wait to shoot her !! :)

Cut tang to length ,bend tang to rough shape of top of wrist , file sides of stand and bolster to slight taper ....

Inlet black bolster and tang , start tapping it down and back at the Muzzle . Remove black from inside bolster channel on side you need it to go to get centered , wat h the black at the curve , only remove the inlet black left , no extra at all...keep doing until tang is down and barrel doesnt slide forward when you tap down on breech ... Keep removing black at curve and ignore black from tang .

Ok....curve is done . I can tap down on breech and it doesnt move forward , make sure inlet black is on bottom of all parts , trace bottom of tang now , its tapered so slightly under sized .... Tap down and remove barrel ...see what we got ....

Ok , start the tang inlet , chisel on inside of line I traced ... Black under tang and start the I let process ...now ...barrel will start going forward again , thats the taper on the end of the tang so take off black there but , at angle and very slim ! The tang and breech are touchy . Any gaps you leave there are SO noticeable so slim cuts and go slow ....

Good to get color on the bottom . If you dont it means its the sides holding the tang up ..Thats touchy , you have to be very cautious taking material off the tapered sides , you can create gaps ....
