Had some success this past Saturday in Maryland’s primitive season. Put this guy down with my 50 cal Renegade. 460 grain Bullshop NEX conical over a 54 cal dry wool wad pushed by 85 grains of 2F Swiss.

Nice - details on the hunt, please.
Got in a ground blind up on the powerline an hour before sunrise. About 9:15 two deer popped out of the woods directly across from me on the other side of the powerline at just around 60 yds. I raised my sidelock to get a bead on one of them. Before I could pull the trigger, they bolted across the powerline on about a 45 degree angle. I readjusted in the blind and stuck my barrel out the right side of the blind. I had to stand up in a half off balance crouch. One of the deer was standing about 55 yds down from me at the edge of the woods looking over it's shoulder back to where it came from. Not wanting to take any chances of it bolting again I squeezed one off as soon as I lined up the front sight thru my peep. At the shot the deer did a 60 yd dash back across the powerline and crashed as soon as it hit the woods. The 460 grainer made two nice holes thru the shoulders with plenty of blood.
It was a good morning.

Nice hunt! I am surprised you didn’t use one of your own lovely builds.
You might be thinking of someone else. I wish I did have my “own lovely builds”.
I have three .50 cal Renegades. Two of them have after market Green Mountain LRH barrels and one is all stock. The two with LRH barrels also have 57SML adjustable peep sights.
I also have an Investarms .50 cal Hawken.
Thats about as custom build as I’ve got.
