The way my 1858 is shooting right now I would have no problem with some punk with a 9

Some of the civil war paper cartridges featured a 260 g conical. This is only 20g more...

g = grams, not grains.

Never heard of bullet weight measured in grams. A 260 gram bullet would weigh something like 6 ounces...

Each to his own, 9mm is common police carry as well as many citizens and not exclusive to a punk.

Now I have no issue as to how you run your world, I run mine to suit myself as much as I can, its a right. I traveled a lot when I was younger and I carried a 22, I was confident in my abilities to shoot it where it needed to go. Sadly I am not that good anymore.

That said I don't try to drive a buggy on the freeway either (well at all let alone in any traffic). I tried a 450 Honda and that was bad enough.

One aimed round is worth hundreds of scattered rounds. Its really about comportment and how you manage vs a caliber or a type. You point your BP at me and I for sure am going to skeedadle.

9mm SD ammo is equally on par with any round out there. so shrug.
