i am the happiest and most fortunate person as i got drawn for a any bull elk tag and also for a any bull moosetag here in washington any suggestions for a lyman great plains in 54 caliber i also have a62 caliber smoothbore is a round ball enough for these animals need help

Jim...Jim...Jim...this is too much for one person...it's like winning the lottery...it might mess you up...the prudent thing to do is send me one of those tags right now and never speak of this again !!! :: :: ::

Hi Jim,fortunate you are I have been trying to get drawn for a bull moose tag for 8 years here in Alberta hope you have lots of freezer room.I had a GPR great rifle I would think any load up around 90 to 100 gr of ffg would be plenty and the round ball will be great .good luck rusty

the dillema roundball is i already paid for a guided elk hunt in montana i dont know how i am going to do all thishunting seems like a situation everyone would like to have

Nice draws, I would use the .54 with rb on Elk and the .62 with rb on Bullwinkle and plan on 50yds or less for my shots, pushing the range limits on large animals with the rb can be problematic.
