This may be a dumb question. I have a TC Hawken in .50 caliber. I normally use standard #11 caps. I have 1800 RWS musket caps and no rifle that uses them. There is a 1/4-28 musket cap nipple available. Is there any reason why I shouldn't use the musket caps on my Hawken? Are they too hot?

Thanks.

No they won't "hurt" anything.
They aren't hotter, they just have more volume.
Sometimes the hammer needs a little adjustment too fit over the musket nipple.

I'd trade'm for #11's.
