Well, It's all coming back, albeit fragmented, it's been a long time since my last build. From the rough blank this is how far I've gotten. I'm hoping to call her "Treerat's Nightmare" Barrel's a Green Mountain 13/16th's in .40. Locks from Goldenage, about twenty years ago w/ Siler parts, and the blank is from a Blanket shoot. Furniture is gonna be German Silver. since these pic's I have gotten the trigger in, and tang and lock screws installed and cut. I'm presently mating the buttplate and thimbles. Then I will start removing all the wood that doesn't belong. Bill

Looks good, Bill. I know the feeling. I just finished a poorboy squirrel rifle I started about 20 years ago! I'm now collecting parts to build a .62 cal. smoothbore, circa 1760 or so.....Keep us posted....loojack

Looking good at this point Bill. Lock inlet looks really good. Nice clean fit with no gaps.
I see you use an oil lamp for inleting black.I have used the same with good results. Also I like your work station/stand. Seems like you have it right at a comfortable highth to work on the stock with. I need to make a new work table. mine I am bent over to much and then the ole back gets to hurting and I have to stop.
Sure wil be glad when I get moved back to Pa and have my shop there back to work in. Most of my tools are there. Never had the room for them here in Va.
Kepp us posted on your progression with it.

Thanks for shareing
Woody
