Awesome I just got my first flintlock a GPR in .54 cal and I am hooked! Been shooting caplocks and modern day wiz bangs decided to take the leap into flintlocks and hunt exclusively with the flintlock. Going to start selling off my modern rifles and get a real nice custom flintlock in .58 or .62.

I've used, IIRC, at least 4 .50 rifles to take deer; but with only two .45 rifles I killed more deer than all the .50s combined. I like the .45 a lot for hunting and it's been my go-to for a long time. I still have those two .45 rifles and added one more a few years ago. Gotta say, however, that I'm liking the .62 smoothbore more and more.
