Hi gang,
For all those first time kit folk out there, I'd like to share a story that happened many years ago. I Got a CVA Civil War Navy 44 kit at a swap meet for $10. All new in the box, never been opened.

I spent months gussying up the metal and wood and brass. I even Inlayed the scroll work on the cylinder with gold.

One of the last parts you have to do is set the space between the cylinder and the barrel. I got my feeler gauges out and made it a perfect .020.

Took my nice shiney revolver out, load all 6 holes and roled her back and let the hammer fly. Have you ever been behind a six shooter when 4 of the 6 go ff at the same time!!!

I called up CVA and asked them what the heck was going on. It seems that they misprinted some fo the first instruction sheets, well only left off a zero (.002)!

I returned them the entire shebang. A few weeks later I got a pair of all ready build top of the line Armys and a Navy kit in the mail!

I sold the kit to a friend for $10!!!!

Im sure glad kits have come a LONG way from that time :-D

Sounds like a good deal! All those bullets flying must have been a sight! Oh, by the way how's the thumb??.....loojack

The one that got me was the one that hit the barrel key. the rest went on thier merry way down range.
