Sure you can cut a stock dead on with a CNC I am sure. But who will sand it and put on the finish. Anyone with minimal training can put a piece of wood in a machine and turn it on. But raising the grain and sanding and perhaps deburring it? Its not possible to machine sand fine detail, like with an orbital or a belt sander, sometimes a really big one, as is often used in production. At least when I was doing it.
